Lions Can Make A Silk Purse Out Of A Sows Ear!! Our Storage Shed Is Located On The Grounds Of The Mercer Recycling Center. It Had Fallen Into Decay For Lack Of Maintenance. It Was An Eyesore That Mercer Town Residents Would See Each Week When They Dropped Off Their Recyclables. During May, 2008, Some Of Our Lions Club Members Re Roofed, Repaired and Painted Our Storage Shed. Some Materials Were Supplied By Mercer Lumber Company, At Significant Discount; Plus The Paint Donated By The Town Of Mercer; As Well As Some Materials Donated By Club Members.

Lion Dave Minisan power washed. Lions John Sendra and Roger Johnson painted. Lion Glenn Doxsee helped when he could. Lion Terry Gustavson did the caulking.
On Saturday, May 9th, 2009, the Mercer Lions and the Mercer Lioness Clubs cleaned the Highway 51 roadside.
